Ive only had my truck a short time less than 2500 miles on it. I want to upgrade the exhaust and all I have been able to find for a Reg Cab is the Flow Master cat back. Are these worth the price or will just a muffler do the same??
Thanks
Russ

Your truck already has a great exhaust system, but if you'd like to upgrade the muffler I recommend Magnaflow. Great sound and better flow compared to flowmaster.

Here's the mufflex kit that I bought. Just bolts right up, very easy and maintains all the hangars and rest of the exhaust. No sense replacing good exhaust pipe. Only other thing that could be upgraded, would be your factory "smush" Y-pipe for a better flowing open Y-pipe.

Here is the link if your interested:
Mufflex Performance Custom Exhaust Systems Trenton, NJ

There's the single exhaust and dual exhaust, so make sure you choose the correct application.

EDIT: and if you want to wake the dead...

Here's the 14 inch muffler on my truck before I had the resonators removed:

welcome Russ,

I actually just ordered the Flowmaster catback you speak of. The stock is great, but I have to have a little more rumble. The 50 series that is used in that is totally different than the 50 series they make. It's made for that kit and the HEMI. So needless to say, within a week I can give you sound clips.

To me, with a 6000 lb truck, you wont see any gains between mufflers, but sounds, yes.

Thanks uys for all the information. Trupiano your truck does sound good!!! GrayGoose I can wait a few more days so I can hear what you think about the flow master cat back. Ant and all ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Next on the list is a 2/3 or 2/4 lowering and a cold air intake system.

Welcome to RF.

I have a flow master on mine. But that's all the little hick-town shop had.
