Hi All,

Just bought a new '18 Ram 1500 4x2 regular cab Sport in Ingot Silver to replace my (original owner) '98 Dakota R/T. The R/T is suffering from about 30% paint loss but has only a tick over 60k miles. Now that I have garage space, it's time to upgrade!

Thanks! I spent 2 weeks plugging a couple hundred zipcodes into the vehicle search looking for one in "Blue Streak" and finally gave up. Even then, I could only find two silvers within 400 miles. This one was out of Jackson, MS and closest to what I wanted. Local dealer snagged it for me and is adding tubular side steps and spray-in liner, should be driving it early next week. A big step up from the old Dakota's 245 HP and 13 MPG!

Looks like I've got mea culpa to make. My dealer was unable to get the truck from the dealer in MS. This was all done last Thursday, paid cash in full and the deal was "done". My salesman here said Max Haik (MS dealer) called them Saturday night and told him he had just sold "my" truck to someone else. Don't really know how this would happen when the truck was sold to me a few days prior, but it did. If any good comes out of this, Mid-County here will order me a new one in the "BlueStreak" that I couldn't find before. Either that or a refund and another dealer somewhere else...

I don't know if there's a review thread here somewhere, but I'd recommend steering waaaay clear of anything that says "Max Haik" in front of it...

It gets stranger! I called Max Haik today, played dumb, asked if that truck was still available and was told yes. MH salesman is double checking it and will call back soon. I'm thinking M-C Dodge is trying to jam me up into buying a more $$$ truck, which ain't gonna happen. If Haik still has it, I'll get my money back and deal direct with Haik on it. What I should have done in the first place, what a fiasco!

Well, everything happens for a reason. My dealer went online just in time to find a RCSB Sport in my #1 color, blue streak. A dealer in Houston had one coming off the transport as he was calling, and I got it. Had more options than I would have ordered and was $2500 more, but it's now mine as of Thursday evening! The new owner of my LS-Maverick is picking her up tomorrow so it'll be a happy/sad day.
