I just bought a 2012 Ram LoneStar about a month ago. So far I've put in a C.A.I, Borla muffler, doing the Y Pipe tomorrow. Im looking for gears and differentials. I can't seem to find a place that sells them.
Only thing I have found is on ebay. I want to go with 4.10 gears. I dont plan on jacking up the truck, and I dont tow anything. wanted to know if you guys knew some place better to get them, or if this is a good deal.
Thanks

I believe the 2012 have a different differential so that for a Chrysler 9.25 won't work. I will let some of the 4th gen guys chime in but welcome to RF!

Oh and we love pics here so post some up.

Welcome to RF! No gears yet besides the OEM 3.92's. Some guys are having specialty shops modify the carrier bearing to install 4.56 gears, but it's gonna run you around $22-2500 for the entire process.

Thanks for the welcome to the site. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.
Im going to ask the shop that is gonna do the gears what he thinks about the the Auburn Kit, and maybe he can order something.

Another question is, It says it fits 2010 Ram, not 11 or 12. Im guessing that's because they have not tried it on a newer Ram?

nah, its because the rear axle is different and the gears won't work in them.

The 2011+ have a zf rearend. You could always buy the whole rear end out of a 09-12 R/T and get the 4.10 gears along with limited slip. You may also be able to pick up just the gears from the parts department at your dealership for a 11-12 R/T

ok one more question, I've been reading and searching the forum, and JBA headers seems like the way to go. Where do you guys buy them from? Also for a 2012, what should i be looking for?
Thanks for all the help and input.

Ehh personally I'm not a big fan of shorty headers(the jba) as they don't seem to have much performance gain. I'd go long tubes from ARH but they're pricey at around $1,500

Welcome to RF! Yea, not a whole lot of performance mods out there for 2012's yet. Hell, I'd be happy with just a tuner.

I ordered the JBA's last night, also with the gaskets and the lock bolts that were recommended on the board. Right now my truck is at the muffler shop getting the the Y pipe redone(mendrel). Also ordered throttle body. I guess I will have to wait till they make the 4.10 gears, and the tuner.

$353 plus taxes and shipping for the R/T 4.10 gears from mopar-wholesale. $1,794 from them for the whole axle assembly
