Shawn Locke has a 392 on juice that's set up for street drags, and I ran into a dude near Ashtabulah OH that has a 5.7 that's worked over with heads, cam, etc. that's dynoing up over 500whp.

I told my kid that he should consider a hemi swap over building a 408 for his 2001 R/T. I was going to do a 408 for mine but will put a 392 in it some day. I picked up a brand new 392 crate motor when they announced the last call back in 2023, to put into my Cuda

It's expensive to build a stroker. Definitely better off buying a 392.
