New to the Forum Need Mod Ideas

Hi everyone,

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Lonestar 2WD. I just put some new wheels on today. They are 20x9 Ultra Mavericks with a +18 offset. (Pretty much like the stock 20's) I want to run taller and wider tires. I am going to do a 2" leveling kit. What would be a good tire size with no rubbing? I like the 305/55r20 but hear they have rubbing issues. Some say to just put a 1/4 spacer on to solve the problem, but I don't know if they are bad for the truck. I don't want any safety issues since I have two young kids.

Here is a picture of my truck. Let me know what tire size with a leveling kit would be good.

Welcom to rf. because you are 2wd you can most likely get away with 305/55/20 tires like stated above

Thanks everyone. I like the wheels. I was serious about the XD wheels, but really saved some good money on these and I like the black and machined look. Besides I sell cars for Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep, so I got a pretty good discount.

The 50 series HD is a little more mellow than a 40 series. However, ram usually has a deeper sound than other trucks. You can hear it on the interior but it is not annoying. As for the exterior it sounds pretty deep and aggressive, but not to crazy. If you are considering it make sure you cut the resonators out on the newer models.

on my 2wd i have a 305/50 and rub on the arms at right full lock only on the UCA... everything else is fine... one of these days im gonna put my spacers back on and fix that problem
