Hello guys and girls!
I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself! I usually go by the name SnowWolf on the internet. Haha.
I'm from Norway in Europe and I just got a.. Well before Christmas, a 2014 1500 Laramie with the 5.7 liter hemi engine.
Before that I owned a brand new Ford Ranger, the EU version that's not available in the US. I traded it in for the RAM actually.
I have plans to keep it stock, however there are a lot of red tape with regulations here in Europe. For example the original headlights are illegal, since they have orange park lights. But no one has noticed yet, shhhh.
Also I had to get a special approval from the DMV to get a smaller license plate at the back, since the standard full square size did not fit.
Sadly, after buying the truck.. The radio unit died, and since there are no real Dodge, Chrysler or RAM dealerships here.. The dealership I bought it from, agreed to repair it under warranty. But that meant sending the physical radio unit to the US.. That was 1,5 months ago, I'm still without a radio.. The updates I get is "we're waiting for parts."
I also spent a few grand to get the underside of the truck, the frame, inside doors etc treated with Mercasol. It's a special oil product that coats the metal and treats it, preventing rust and so forth.
The rims are also not stock, because we have sepperate tires for winter and summer here.
