2012 1500 Tradesman Hemi 4x4. Newest wheels I've taken the plunge for by far. Drove it off the lot with 17 miles on the odo. Scary! I'm a seasonal worker and travel back and fourth CO>TX. Raft guide in CO and general contractor in TX. This is my third truck and my first Dodge/RAM. The first was a Chevy 1500 that I bought specifically to pull a 25' Airstream which was a lil hard on it. Eventually, and at only 8
Years & >150k miles, repair cost outweighed the trucks value. Last year I got a "too good to be true" deal on a 2001 F350 7.3 diesel & bought the camper you see below. Within 1k miles the engine destroyed itself and a replacement was priced between 6-10k!!! I began shopping around... realized a Ram is what I wanted... but also a more bare bones work truck. LOVE the tradesman...though it is a little TOO fancy! I shopped for a little over a month. I was very close to buying a pre-loved 2012 Tradesman with 25K miles until I actually found this spanking new one for over $3K less than that deal.
...and my first addition or mod or whathaveyou.. A hump over... or over hump Weathertech Digital-fit mat(s?). I was totally prepared to be unimpressed with them but they are absolutely perfect! What kind of work truck comes with black carpet and black carpet mats anyway?!
A "Softopper" will definitely be next... probably a month. And very soon Bilstein adjustable 5100s in front set at 2.1" & 5100s, 1" lift, air bags in the rear. That'll be all... Oh and maybe some smokey front lens covers... and possibly a Desert Designs front bumper down the road.
