New toy on it’s way!

So on December 19, 2018, I placed a factory order for a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. I just couldn’t find one anywhere configured the way I wanted, so this way I can get exactly what I want. I have an estimated ship date of 1/25/19. I went all out too:

2019 Limited 4x4, Graphite Crystal/Black leather, 5.7 Hemi V8 (no e-torque), 5’7” bed, rambox, sunroof, Level 1 group, bed utility group, 3.92 rear, LSD, body color bumpers, 22” wheels, 33 gal tank, etc.

I can’t wait! The good news is, I’ve already sold my 2014 Tundra, so I’ll have more $$$ to throw at the RAM. So now I wait. :/

Agreed. I placed the order on 12/19/2018, and by 12/21 I was told by the dealer "They have already pulled your truck and locked in production. It has been assigned a VIN." On 12/29 the dealer told me it has an estimated ship date of 1/25/19. Now I wait.

I ordered mine same day. Close to same package but mine is Laramie with off road package. I checked on mine about 3 days after I received my VIN and it was still waiting on parts. I've also read a 3 week plant shutdown down. If that's true your 1/25 ship date is awesome.

My special order took about a month from order until it got built but then took 5 weeks in transit.

I spoke to the dealer today. No change in status. They shutdown for the holidays, and are just now ramping back up to get production going again. From final assembly in Sterling Heights, MI it gets shipped by train to Baltimore, then comes to my dealer via car hauler truck. He said from ship date to arrival is around 5 to 7 days, give or take. He said there’s a small chance it could be here by the end of January. Honestly, I’m kinda hoping it’s after February 1st as the incentives now are kinda ‘meh’ ($1250 cash or 0% for 36). I’m hoping they’ll be better in February.
