I have a '14 V-6 with 8 Speed. It started shifting hard especially while downshifting and making a whining noise at about 30K Miles. I took it in to the dealer while having the 5 Recalls! fixed for other things and while they had it they diagnosed I needed a new tranny and torque converter.

Picked it up last night and it drives like a new truck. At least my dealer is stepping up to the plate and not blowing me off. I have see many posts and complaints where the dealer says no TSB's or updates needed. There's lots of info on this forum about these tranny's. Some of it is not great news....

After the cooling issues at 13 K miles (see my post on that) where they tore my engine down twice and this issue with the tranny I am done with Ram/Dodge/Fiat or who ever they are......

Amen to that, brother.

OP, if you think that is bashing Ram, I take it the other way. I think it's a testimonial to the dealer for stepping up and making things right.

Every brand has its lemons. If you go over to the Ford or Chevy/GMC forums, you'll see a ton of complaints which I rarely see on the RAM site. I had a 2010 F-150 that developed a vibration on hard throttle take off (most likely due to the split driveshaft and loose carrier) and Ford brushed it off as "normal". Be happy your dealer is stepping up!!

Sorry to hear about your trouble with the truck. I would be frustrated too.

meh I would rather have a **** for a tranny than lung cancer or heart problems, a wonky truck with warranty does not even register on the sweat o meter personally.
