Hey fellas, I'm not new to dodge trucks but this is my first 4.7 in my 2002. I blew the radiator and seized the motor. Now I picked up a 4.7 out of a rolled 1999 grand cherokee. Rebuilt it, head gaskets, seals etc. Went to swap it tonight and almost finished swapping out the sensors when I realized the starter is on the wrong side! Can I just use the jeep starter and extend the wiring over to the passenger side? I need help asap before my wife kicks my ass for leaving this mess laying around lol.

Yup...you can do that. The extended length of cable shouldn't be too much of a resistance drag on the circuit.

Well that would have thrown me for a loop also, all the notes I have say its a compatible engine but starter on the wrong side.. that makes it a project and not a swap LOL.

Please let us know how it works out.
