Hey everyone. I just recently bought a 2018 ram 2500 Laramie. I'm coming from a long line of previous gm vehicles. Looks like a great place to get advice and information. I'm looking forward to posting..thanks for the add.

Welcome to the forum from a previous long time GM owner! I still like their older stuff a lot but I’m done with the new GM. I switched because of the current gens vibration problems. What made you give RAM a try?

This was my third sierra. I had a 2005 1500, a 2013 1500 and my 2016 2500. My wife had a 09 Pontiac g6 and a 2014 gmc acadia. We bought all our vehicles at the dealer ship. Also my wife worked at the dealer ship for 10 years...She had to leave due to not having child care for our 2 and 4 year olds at the time. She asked the manager if she could have some time off to figure the child care situation out and he said to her "What do you think the company owes you??? So that was strike one. Fast forward a couple of months...Anyway we were going to buy a 2018 acadia. Our 2014 was a slt model 38000 kms. Always well looked after and always maintained at the dealer. When we talked about trading they offered us $20000 cdn for it...I called another gm dealer about 3 hours away and they offered 27000 with out even seeing our vehicle. So that was strike 2. Anyway we decided to look at some other suvs..anyway long story short we bought a 2018 grand Cherokee trailhawk from our local dodge dealer ship. They gave us 27500 for our vehicle and were a lot more friendly and appreciative for our business. So about strike 3..well I never gave the gm dealer a chance to give me strike 3. I never had any trouble with any of our gms but I just decided that I wanted a change. So the dodge dealer is giving me 46000 for a trade for my 16 2500 and Im happy with that. I pick up my 2018 ram 2500 in a couple of weeks from now ..Im away working at the moment but the truck arrived on Friday. From the pics my wife sent me I know I will be happy with the purchase. I already have a magnaflow cat back waiting to be installed and a deezee tailgate assist i'll install later. Also I bought some second hand chrome steel 18 inch wheels for winter driving. Thanks
