Have only had the truck for a few months now and have a list of things I want to get done. I don't have the money to do everything at once so any input on which ones to get knocked out first would be helpful. Should I lift it before buying new tires so that the tires have plenty of room to fit or would the 275/60/20 look bad with a 4 inch zone for a while I save up some more money for the tires? Could just save up the $3000 and do it all at once one weekend. I have a 2014 Quad cab 1500 express.

2.5" level kit (spacer) $80 - done
LED headlight upgrade $150 - done
Window Tint on front windows and back windshield to match the factory rear windows $120 - done
OPT7 LED Taillight Bar $100 - done

Husky Floor Mats $130 - next
Tonneau cover ~ $350
Front Tow Hooks $140 -
Nerf step bars $160
4 inch zone suspension lift $1,700 (don't know how hard it would be to install myself, have all the right tools and think I can do it but haven't ever done anything like it, might consider paying a professional to do it, no clue how much that would cost)
295/65/20 Nitto/BFG/Cooper aggressive tread tires $1,200
Have stock 20x9 rims and would like a more aggressive stance, 2" bora spacers or new wheels w/ offset
Color match Fender Flares $200
Delete 6th seat / Center Console upgrade $500

Just my opinion, but if you can do the tires first (the size you wanted) without any rub or bad fitment, I would do that. Your truck is leveled as you said and a level with beefy tires looks a lot better than a truck on stilts with little feet. You could get the tires and just be happy with the level and tires and put the lift on the backburner as it is the most expensive mod youve mentioned.
If you look in my signature, there are some pricey-er mods but mostly everything is inexpensive easy and fun to do that I found going through hundreds of pages on this forum. It curbs the itch for a temporary time but without having to stop all mods together to save for one big mod. Good luck!

IMG_0689.JPG I just installed a Mod that was mentioned to me as a "MUST DO" Mod. Did some research, and last night, installed my Pedal Commander. The throttle response is like Night & Day, after the install. Very easy to install, too. Go to youtube and do a search on Pedal Commander on your 2014 Ram.

The level, the tint matching, the headlights and the taillight bar are all really nice easily done cosmetic upgrades that will have made a really nice difference to your truck man.

I agree w/ BTD07, if you already have the level it’ll look real nice with BFG’s than if you get a big lift and stock tyres.
Also you have the exact same truck as me haha I really did like it in the blue.

Did you ever consider a tuner over the pedal commander? What made you go with that instead? That way you have full tuning capabilities over just throttle response. Just curious!

For what I wanted to achieve, the PC is all that was needed. I've never had any of my friends really show and Tell me all about a Tuner. I have never been one to mess with the motors computer, as far as doing a tune. Maybe if I knew more about them and actually watch someone do a tune and see actual results, then I might try it but not into those kind of engine mods/Tuner and I realize that tuners not only tune the engine for more HP but they can also be tuned for better fuel mileage and was told they can eliminate the MDS completely but have never seen it actually being done. Does that make sense?

Makes sense to me, and then there's always that little thing about messing with any bit of warranty you might have left....

I personally would recommend buying the lift and then tires after.... You can gauge exactly what size tire you want MUCH better when your already at the height you want and tires are expensive enough to not want to have a regret on...

As far as mods the same recommendation i would give anyone for #1 mod for a ram is a tuner and custom tune for whatever type of driving you want. Hands down the biggest bang for your buck as far as performance goes. just my 2 cents

Jim,
Call Sean(Hemifever) and talk to him about tuners and what they can and can't do. You can ask him any question you want and I bet he will give you an answer. The difference between a "canned tune" and a "custom tune" is night and day. He is one of the best and takes the time to answer questions and explains things in such a way that it is understandable to even computer illiterate people like me. Once you have the correct information you can make a decision on whether a tuner is for you. A tuner and the Pedal Commander compliment each other very well-IMHO

Also with a tuner you can always just take 30 seconds and reset back to factory tune before a trip to dealer to never void any warranties

I had a Superchips programer for years then it had an issue when I updated . Powerteq gave me their latest tuner the Diablo intune i3 tuner 8345 to replace it FREE. I can adjust throttle pedal boost also, turn off MDS , adjust ,speed limiter , rev limiter, timing, fuel , transmission , tire size ,axle ratio, turn off Traction control ,ABS ,ESC, a bunch of caned tunes or install a custom tune , tune multiple vehicles at the same time with one tuner and much more . All that for a few bucks more than just pedal commander . If you are smart enough to get a drivers license you can set it up. .
