I just got off the phone with CCC. The recall ONLY applies to model-year 2005 trucks, even though the recall states that it is for trucks built beginning in January 2004. He also said that this may be amended to include m-y2004.

Also, even though the letters are going out, they do not yet have a resolution/fix for this issue.

In the meantime, I get to take lots of pics and save my receipts and hope this gets amended.

My 04 year VIN code was built in December 03.
Arrived new and registered in the UK 2005.

Door Sticker says Manufacture Build Date: December 2003
So does that mean my pinion nut is good? Adhesive pad??? Threadlock??

Mopar connect does not allow non US countries to register so I doubt I have the recall option anyway.

Since my post in 2015 my pinion nut came off in 2018. I was not covered on the recall when I checked in 2015 so thought there was no issue!
Pinion dropped into the diff and ripped it all apart. No recall................. so rebuilt it myself. Threadlock and banged those spline tabs hard into the grooves so it won't come off again. Did this in the street in the rain! Thanks Dodge! Forgot all about it till now 2021 when I saw my old post.
What a PITA it was getting trailered home in the middle of the night after blocking the road for 2 hours with an exploded diff. Stinks diff oil. At least nobody got hurt! Now back to my brake shoes issue.............something simple but what?
