Im looking at a new 2024 white 1500 limited with the night package. I'm 66 years old and like chrome but also not sure about the Hurricane 6 and found this 2024 Hemi . I was wondering how well the black grill/mirrors and painted bumpers hold up over time and what the overall feeling of forum members of this package. THANKS

I have the night package on my 2023 2500. I swapped out both of my bumpers. The rear because I got rear ended, the front...well because it no longer matched the rear lol. But I can tell you that the metal in both of those bumpers was paper thin and the paint wasn't much thicker. Especially on the front bumper, it was more plastic molding than metal. Personally, I like the look, but I also liked the look of my 2018 that had chrome front and back bumpers and grill.

Haha I'm 61 and hate chrome on modern vehicles.

Our current 2020 Limited has the Blackout package since the Night Edition wasn't available for 2020 Limited's. Everything on our truck is holding up just fine. The black bits are mostly all painted surfaces, so they're susceptible to rock chips. Some people have had paint protection film installed on the front end to protect from that. So it really depends on how the truck will be used and the road conditions it's driven in.

I've owned (and currently own) vehicles with the blackout/color matched bumpers and front ends. We tend to keep our vehicles for a lot of years, so I've seen the damage first hand. I also have 2 friends that each own their own body shops. They like the painted/plastic front ends. Good for business, they say. But both recommended I get chrome, which I did on my 22 2500 Ltd Longhorn. Very happy with my choice.

I have painted bumpers. I live in the salted roads part of the world. It takes its toll on the painted bumpers. Rock chips show up fairly easily. All that said, they are easier to touch up than chrome. This is my first "painted to match" bumper truck I've owned. I like the look. I've seen the chrome bumpers and they seem REALLY thin. If money wasn't an object and the wife wouldn't object loudly, I'd find something like Ranch Hand in aluminum for the front and rear.

I’m uh 70 yo and came from a 2014 Laramie with lots of chrome to this. Took me a little time to get used to it but love it now. Painted bumpers will show blemishes much easier than chrome. Haven’t had it long enough to know how long the Night Edition features will hold up. Black also shows blemishes more than white.
BTW, my Night Edition does have chrome lug nuts

2020 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition...except the wheels....chrome looks rather gaudy...my opinion only. wife didn't like the all black wheels, so, she made the dealer swap them from another Ram with 22" wheels.

The bumpers on my 2012 Ram were color matched and the rear faded pretty noticeably after about 5 years. My 2019 has the chrome package... zero problems with that so far.

my 2020 still looks excellent. no problems with the painted bumpers. (wheels are not the originals...her majesty made the dealer swap them because she didn't like the all black wheels)

I'm 83 and have a 2018 Night Edition Hemi....has been holding up well but doesn't get driven as much as my Jeep GC...only thing I don't care for so much is the Hemi mileage...:)

I have a Tradesmen Night edition and my plastic front bumper is holding up nicely, but the rear is starting to bubble (not coming through yet). Biggest complaint I have is touching up rock chips on the grille, but I love the look and wouldn't change to chrome there.

Painted front bumpers do not hold up in areas where antiskid is used on the roads, period. I specifically didn't get color matched bumpers for that reason.
