Just purchased a 1998 Ram 4x4. When I turn on the left turn signal, the brake lights do not work. When I turn on the right signal there is no problem with the brake lights. Just driving normally the brake lights work fine. Suggestions?

Do both rear blinker lights work?

Check bulb, for broken wires, and if you have a trailer harness unplug that and check the connections. The harnesses can get water in em and corrode
