2016 ram 1500 sport 5.7 hemi. So the timing chain exploded a couple weeks ago. Got that all fixed up and now 2 cylinders don’t have compression. Pushrods had a bend in them so replaced all of those and still nothing. Got to looking again and found that the exhaust valve spring on the one cylinder is about 1/4” lower than the rest. So could this be something as easy as just a bad spring or worse like a bent valve? I couldn’t see any breaks in the spring but my vision kinda sucks up close. Suggestions on where to go next? Lol

You bent the valves, that's why the push rods are bent these are (Interference engines) when your timing chain took a dump the piston hit the valves that were open, are the 2 cylinders on the same bank?

It’s the front one on the passenger side and the third one back on the drivers side

Time to pull the heads and have them redone check lifters while your at it. It is very uncommon for timing chains to go bad on these was work every done to it? high miles?

How many miles on the truck?
You might want to research how much a long block will cost Given your looking at tearing down the better part of the engine it maybe more cost and time effective to swap the engine out.

Work has never been done. One owner truck. 108,000 miles. Regular maintenance has been done. The guide was broke in half and one of those bolts was broke off so not sure what caused it all. But the heads will be coming off sometime this week to get checked out

yea thats odd ive had these with 200k+ no timing issues guess you just got un lucky. Make sure the cam sprocket bolt is torqued 90ftlbs you also can not re use that bolt more then once it stretches had a few come in that spun due to the bolt being shot.
