I had a 2016 3500 , 7 years and around 75000 miles on it . It only did 2 active regens, where it actually tells you. However these trucks do a passive regen while driving and you don't know it's happening .
After a drive have you got out of your truck and notice a slight smell like burnt rubber , it's was doing a passive regen .
You could put a tuner in the measures exhaust gas temp and that would tell you , other than that drive it like you stole it.
