I purchased a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Ecodiesel late last year and have been surprised on how much higher it's temps are compared to my Cummins.

Trans is 195-200F, oil is 215-230F, and coolant is 205-225F when I am goin 70-75 mph down the highway, unloaded. It has 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and a slight 2" lift, however, it ran these temps even when completely stock on 33s.

Are you guys seeing this in your Rams? People over at the Jeep forum seem to think the Ram's run a lot cooler because it has a larger engine bay and radiator. I also found out that the air filter on the Ram has almost twice as much filter area than the Wrangler which from my experience does effect EGT's and other temps. It may also be why the Wrangler version has 40 less lb-ft of torque.

Yep. The 8HP70 & 75 transmission temps are 180-195 nominally. My coolant is about 208 and oil is 220ish. What you're seeing is normal for the Ecodiesel (and largely, Hemi).

not sure how true this is as well but I have heard the readings or some of them are based on computer calculations so I wouldn't trust them. diesels run hot which is ok so I wouldn't freak out

Got this text from the dealer yesterday. I told them the tranny was still running warmer than normal (220° unloaded @ 65mph) with the new tranny:

"According to the tech (and what im reading in the tech library) the running temp is normal and can vary temperature depending on the load and the engine temperature. the transmission will throw a warning if it gets to 275deg. 235-240 is the max it should ge to under heavy steady loads but still on normal operating range."

The coolant, trans and oil temps on the EcoDiesel are all actual sensor readings, just the oil pressure is "calculated"
The Cummins calculates both the oil temperature and pressure.
