So I just picked up my new 2015 CC 4x4 2 weeks ago and I want to level it. I've used Bilstein's in the past with good luck, but I had never tried the Rancho QLL so I thought I'd give them a shot this time. The reviews on here have been great and the install is certainly easier. They do ride great, as good or better than stock. But, I just didn't get the lift out of them that they advertise...

Before the install, my front fender heights were 36.5 on the drivers side and 36.75 on the passenger side. Today, after installing the shocks and aligning it, my fender heights are 37.75 and 38. That's right, all the work and expense got me exactly 1.25" lift on each side. Not exactly the 2.25" they advertise. So these shocks are coming off as soon as I pick up another set of Bilsteins. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I also picked up a set of 295/60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers to go along with new wheels, and those "34" tires measure just about 33" tall before they even have the weight of the truck on them. Does anyone know how to work a ruler anymore? They are going back too, time for 35s.

On a positive note I also installed a set of Daystar 1" rear coil spacers, and they actually gave me 1" as advertised

Every thread needs some pics, so...

I used MaxTrac ball-joint "friendly" 2.5" spacers and got my 2.5". Sorry yours was less than it should be, but Rancho is good about returns if the lift ain't the right height

Sucks to hear the ranchos didn't work out. While I was using an air hammer and die grinder to remove my old shock because it was so rusty last week, I was kind of wishing I had gone that way. Glad I went with the bilsteins now. Used the same rear daystar spacer and really like the combo.

The Nittos are listed at 33.94" in that size. Should have some more beef than what you're showing. Sorry about you're troubles. There are some 35's out there (like the Wildpeak AT) that are actually under 34.5". It's frustrating trying to get the exact look you want when there are discrepancies. Like was mentioned, reach out to Rancho for a refund, could be defective.

I've been debating exchanging them for 35's, as the same tire in that size is supposed to be 34.5" tall. But I really don't need the extra width and weight that comes with it, and the 295s will fit the fenders better with my 0 offset wheels. I'll probably stick with the 295s.

then you sould go with 295/65 Toyo AT2 (35.1 / 11.8 / 64lbs) or 285/55 Nitto G2 (34.5 / 11.5 / 65 lbs). That is what I'm going to do and would go better with Toyo, but they are on the backorder and no any terms...

I did look into the 295/65 Toyo's, but as you mentioned they're backordered everywhere and there's no ETA, so I moved on. Also, the Totos are a little tall and stuffed for a leveled truck since they're 35"+.

Tri, are you opposed to a 275/65? I'm in this boat too because I want at least a 34 but I don't want the added weight or too much width. And with just a level I also don't want to go over 35.

275/65 is a nice tire, but I wanted something wider. So I settled on 295/60.
