So I had new tires put on last week and had the front end aligned. The tech first asked if I had had any work done on the front end, NO or had the truck been wrecked, NO. He said camber on one side was -.2 and the other was +1.8, or something along those lines. He had a helluva time getting the alignment done and said he had to run one side all the way out. He also said the steering sensor was out 20 something degrees. I had no real problems prior other that the alignment was wearing the tires badly, it didn’t pull one way or the other. So yesterday I took a road trip which was the first time at greater than 60 mph. I was merging on to the interstate and the truck jogged a little to the left and straightened out, I don’t remember hearing anything. I thought I had hit a groove in the road or something. A few seconds later I looked down and the steering wheel is cocked to the right to about the 4 o’clock position, no pulling, truck still driving straight. Then moments later I started getting warning indications...ABS, ESC, Air Suspension, Trailer Brakes...
So back to the alignment shop I go...
The tech tells me something had come loose, I had heard a pop or two while turning after the incident. He tells me that OBD is throwing error code U041500, Invalid Data Recived from Anti-Lock brake System Control Module “A”, and said once it said Implausible associated with all the systems I got warnings on. He also said it appears that rats had been in the engine compartment, evidenced by droppings on the battery. I suspect this part true because my dog recently became very interested in the truck, sniffing around the front wheel wells and not wanting to leave... Its curious to me that I got all the warnings coincidental with the jog to the left on the interstate
Looking for opinions on the matter of where to start in diagnosis and second the matter of the lights coming on coincidental with the interstate vs. a result of a dirty stinking rat.
