In the next few days, I'll be getting my aftermarket recon headlights and was wondering what the best route would be with dealing with my OEM headlights. Should I keep them? put them up on ebay or craigslist? and if so, for how much?

$200 is the going rate on used ones, plus shipping (25-35)

But, keep them. Trade in time, or when you decide to send them to me to get a nicer set. LOL :D:D

Keep them at least until you are sure the Recon units are gonna work.

If you get recons, dont expect to use HIDs. They use the wrong style projector. Even though they advertise HIDs, they simply do not have the proper beam pattern in the projectors. Look at my thread in 3RD gen exterior tittled "recons+hids=fml" Im now gunna use JJ as my source. About the same price, but way more open to actually designing your own one of a kind lights.

Let me say I just bought a pair of aftermarket headlights, and they're not worth the cheap plastic they're made of. I put HIDs in them, and everyone is right the projectors aren't built for that. I checked out Jeremy's website, and the lights he makes look awesome, so I sent him an email trying to get mine done but he never responded. I kept looking for other options, and bingo, found something else. You can just retro your own go to theretrofitsource.com, and you can find the proper projectors, halos, instructions, reviews, anything you need to make your own projectors. The guys are real helpful, and easy to talk, and it costs about half the price. If you like weekend projects this s a good way to go.

Very odd!

Sorry if I missed ya bud, I found that my spam folder was eating some stuff - but I got that fixed up, and replied to the ones I found in there. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.

As for TRS - great guys, I actually use their parts for my installs. I sell 'em too, cheaper than they do. :005:

Yea just don't buy FX-R's from them unless you want peeling chrome in the bowls after a month. I've had that problem now twice now. Both times the chrome just peels off the bowl and destroys the output of them.
