Had a winter mix of ice and snow here last night. Only 6k on them. Just venting. That's all I got.

Yeah they're horrible! I love my Duratracs, best winter tires I've ever used!

They are low grade tires from a BIG name so you think you're getting a good set, but they are mass produced for auto (manufacturer only) and cut corners and deals. I had to run my truck in 4Auto when I first got it because I couldn't get traction in the rain.

My experience has been, if there is a cloud in the sky(no rain or water on the road yet) the Wanglers will hydroplane!!!! IMHO they are the most dangerous tires in wet weather conditions. I probably wouldn't even give them to my ex---well maybe----:naughty::naughty:

I just got a pretty nice "credit" on my stock ones - I went into the local tire store, was talking about how the SRA's were terrible in the rain so was looking at the KO2's.

The Rep offered to call Goodyear and ask for an accommodation if I went to a different Goodyear tire - I ended up getting 112 credit per tire for the SRA's with 12k miles on them and put on the Duratrac's - LOVE THEM.
Was not a big Goodyear fan until now. Will buy these again.

The stock SRA's must be a case of "some good ones and some bad ones". I'm not commuting to a job every day. Hence I just turned 7000 miles after owning the truck for 7 months now. I have taken a few trips with the most recent from Houston to the Georgia coast and back. The tires on mine seem to handle really well with rain, hot and cold, and at highway speeds in rain. I rotated them 2 weekends ago and the wear is almost non-existent. Just my 2 cents and when the time comes for new, I am partial to Michelins.

Sounds right, that was my experience.

SRA's? I never heard of them. Mine came with the stock Wrangler's and today was our first taste of winter. Heavy snow and slush, truck handled excellent in 2wd with LSD and I put it in 4x4 just to try it. Maybe my Wranglers are different, they have an aggressive thread on them. All terrain maybe?

Different people have different experiences with them. My experience wasn't good so I changed to Michelin's and never looked back.

I took mine off the truck 1500 miles in to owning the truck. I was not going to wait for them to wear out, or something worse happen. The truck only hauls myself and loved ones, so I think it is important to feel confident in them.

I swapped out to Toyo Open Country AT2 tires. They have been amazing in all conditions. I was also able to sell the stockers for $300.

I know I measured mine with a depth gauge and after hauling my toy hauler around 2000 miles this summer, the depth gauge was a few numbers difference (millimeters?) from front to the rears. Don't know how normal that is. Now that's with around 3k pin weight
