Hi all.
New 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Black Night Edition owner here and loving this new truck already!
It is my first truck though so I'm definitely late to the table compared to all of you!
Anyway, I am wondering if all you experts can help me. I am buying new wheels and tires and want them sticking out about an inch on the sides. (2” level being done too by the way).
Anyway, they tell me a 20x9 wheel (Fuel Sledge 596) w/5 backspacing and +1 offset with 305/55r20 Falken AT3W’s will do the trick.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct for me to have that 1 to 1.5” tire stick out that I’m looking for?
Again, thanks all. Having fun reading all your posts. Thanks!
Jay

Im running a 20x9.5 -6 offset and 305/55s, wheel itself sticks out 1¼" more then stock. Rear tire is close to flush with flare and front is about ¾" out past flare, im happy and wouldnt want anymore past it. A 20x10 would work for you also but i would keep the offset around -12 if possible. A lot on here run 20x10 -25 but those stick out over 2" more then stock plus width of tires.

Thanks guys!
I had to act this morning so went with the 1 offset. Thanks for the photos though Cheechdogg and the help with explanation Cableman!!
Honestly, Im sure Ill be happy with either pic above! Really loving the truck as my regular drive is a Rav 4 Sport. What a difference and its definitely a fun toy I can continue to play with.
Again, thanks for the help guys! Much appreciated!

With a 20x9 +1 offset your truck will look like this ...

Why not just go with a 20x12 with a -44 offset it will look like the bottom one with no rubbing

A 20x12 -44 offset will most certainly rub without a lift.

Hey Cheechdogg.
Got a 2” level with the 20x9 +1 offset Fuel Sledge wheels. Tires are Falken Wildpeaks 305/55R20 and so far so good in the snow here in Canada.
Also put a Flo-Pro #2511 muffler on it and it’s a perfect sound for me. (Loud but not obnoxious)
Tinted the windows and now good for a while....
As said, love the truck! Thanks again!

Here is a little better pic of the poke with this setup. Not a lot but enough to dirty the sides. LoL. 60633EB9-A50A-449B-AF3A-1B9EA2836CC8.jpeg

Hey Scott.

The 2” level was nice, but man I wish I went with a 4” lift instead in the big picture.
I don’t really see or feel much of a difference with the 2” level but I think it now lets me go to 35’s for my next tires (which I plan to do when these 33’s are ready to go)
Live and learn I guess but as Cheechdogg says, have fun with it all.
