I accelerate in my 2021 ram 1500, the oil pressure gauge rises close to Hot but then it lowers back down to normal. Is this common?

You got a hot and a cold range on your oil pressure gauge ?

What units does it read out in

Your question is a bit confusing. There is an oil pressure display on the evic dashboard and an oil temperature display. The oil pressure reading displays in the below pic with psi or pounds per square inch as its unit of measurement. It is normal for this number to rise quickly during acceleration and be higher at highway speeds than at idle. The oil temperature display shows in C or F depending on your settings. It is normal for this number to slowly rise or slowly fall depending on speed of the engine and outside ambient air temperature
