Hi guys,
I'm kind of worried. I live in country where temperatures are 45+ Celsius and in dessert where I go on weekends is even more.
My oil temperature is 100-105C on normal daily drive. I just recently found out that official service is putting 5w20 oil in my car. WTF??? Now I have 36xxx km.
Could something happened to my car by now??
And what do I do?? Tell them to put different oil!!! Which one??

Thank you
BR

5W-20 is correct for your 2014 5.7.

Your oil temps (210 - 220 F) are not unusual.

If you are concerned, go with synthetic.

Thank you guys for your quick response.
So no need to worry and change viscosity?
Just go with synthetic?!

If you can afford it and can get it research redline 20W oil. It's almost as thick as 30W. But at approx 90 $ for the oil I'm passing else I'd use this.

Yes and Stay with a 5w-20. Your oil temps are spot on.

Seconded. I live in Phoenix, another desert place where the temps often reach 40-45°C in the summer (and sometimes 50). Your temps are right on, and what these other guys said is correct.
