EDIT: I released I posted this in the wrong forum section. Please delete as i've already reposted it. My bad.
Hi guys.
I think I finally figured out where my squeak is in the rear.
The control arms. I pulled them off today and the rubber was cracked/rotted looking on one of the ends. Overall it didn't look terrible, but I figured it might be the cause of my issue.
Control arms from Mopar are like $90 per, and I found that the 2014 model Ram's you can really only get the rear lower control arm from mopar (MOPAR 4877161AF).
I was watching this video and it turns out the guy in it put 2012 (doman 522-386) in his 2013 ram. Significantly cheaper at $30 per.
Anyone have any experience putting an older model truck's control arms into a newer one? I found that there is a lot more aftermarket options for the 2009-2012 model as well rather than 2014. I know I can find Core 4x4 ones, and that is great... but I don't really offroad or do anything crazy with the truck. It would be a waste of money to put $700 into it when I can realistically purchase a set for $300..
Thoughts?
