On a scale of 1 to 1O....

1 being stock exhaust and 1O being Mufflex cutouts how would you grade the Mufflex DOD14M, DOD18M, DOD24M and maybe even the DOD14M with the resonators removed.

It's damn near impossible to distinguish real world sound via YouTube.

I'm ordering my dod14m this week, but in person I'd rate it a 7.5

Thanks.

I'm looking for more aggressive sound but don't want to wake the kids in the morning.

Why not get a 40 seieres flowmaster? The magnaflows are too deep and low. I think tge throaty hollow V8 gurgle sounds so much better

I don't know, the Mufflex kits seem to be most recommended and the easiest to install.

My trucks only got 5O miles on her so I'm just getting into the planning stages.

I'm going to try to get the cosmetic stuff out of the way early.

I prefer to have exhaust components welded on. More secure, less leaks and half the cost of DIY kits

Just go with the 14, not that loud honestly

I have an 18" Magnaflow with resonators still in place. It pretty much sounded like any of the well recorded videos demonstrating the 18". I can start it up and leave the driveway without waking up the neighbourhood. When you're a little more aggressive on the pedal it growls nicely.

I came from a dumped 40 series on my last truck to the 14" Maggie on my ram. Not nearly as loud but I think it's perfect. Not too loud and not too quiet

If your looking at aggressive and not waking up kids they dont mix. I have the DOD24 and it still wakes up my room mate...I think a DOD18 or 14 will work well, the complete delete sounds awesome but it will wake your neighbors if you live in a city neighborhood. I had a flowmaster on my old truck and my neighbors always made fun of me because they knew when I came home every night. If you want a deep throaty sound, go with the mufflex, if you want a little bit more raspy sound go with the flowmaster.

Mufflex 14 here, the kids get used to it after a couple of weeks and don't even hear it. Schools almost out for summer, I think you would have to stand on the peddle to get kids up before noon.

I'm looking at the Mufflex 14 too. Do you get a lot of cakle when you lift out of the throttle, or do the resonators get rid of that.

Would you consider a cutout?

I think I might just go with the 14" Mufflex kit and install a cutout many mods down the road just for ***** and giggles.

I was set on the mufflex 18 then I heard the borla cat back and well I was sold. Pure bliss to my ears. And 5 inch tips to boot. Only took me and a buddy 45 minutes to slap it on. The first time I pulled into my dealer. The salesmen and all the mechanics came over to take a listen. They could tell it was something different. Not to loud just right for me. I found mine used on kijiji buddy had to take it off because his wife hated it. He was almost crying when he left.

Good choice… I just installed an 18" and I wish I went with the 14" instead.
