About a year after I bought it I came up to a stop sign on my way to work, stopped, and the truck died. Lights and radio still working. Got a message to put it in park and press the brake pedal to start. Started fine but made an appointment with the dealership to have it checked out. They checked it over and found nothing.
About a year later the same thing happened. Again made an appointment and had it checked out. I was told they went over it and checked everything but no specific problem was found.
5 months later (last week) same thing. Nothing found. Of course the dealership can't replicate the problem.
So.... the factory warranty expires in a few months due to time, not mileage- 21,000 miles on truck. I have brought it in 3 times for the same issue and hasn't been "fixed" under the factory warranty. So when the warranty expires will it still be "under warranty" because it was never fixed within the original warranty period when I first reported it?
My personal thought is some module has a glitch and when it fails I don't want to pay for it if it was already failing under warranty but never replaced.
