Hey guys I’ve searched the forum and haven’t found what I’m looking for. I recently bought my first ram. 2009 Laramie 1500. It’s got the alpine sound system. The previous owner had put in an aftermarket head unit. Only the front door speakers are working. None of the tweeters in the dash or the ceiling or the rear door speakers are working. Any idea where I should look first? Sucks having the premium sound system but only having two speakers working. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Right behind the radio. He probably cut those wires to get signal. It sounds like you might also have a factory amp that may be missing or not getting signal.

I know the 2013 + trucks with Alpine systems all have separate factory Amps, not sure about 2009.

You might be better off plugging into what he had there if the wiring is still in place and adding your own amp and speakers.

I just replaced my system in a 2008 w/ alpine. Its a dinky little amp behind the glove box. I had a similar issue but nothing from the doors, just the dash. Kept the upper end head unit and a new system put in. Tweeters in the dash, larger speakers in the doors, 10" sub under rear seat and larger amp. 1000 pct better.

Ya it has the factory amp. From what I could tell everything is plugged into the amp fine. It’s almost like the previous owner just bypassed the amp and plugged the two speaker wires into the head unit if that’s even possible. I guess I’ll have to take the stereo out and look at the back of it
