I let my daughter borrow my new truck to help a friend move a rather large dog house last night, and she didn't know to use the buckles to hold my Mopar tri-fold bed cover in place. She learned why that's important while driving down the Interstate. The cover was broken at the hinges and sustained a 1.5' rip in the fabric. Fortunately, it did not damage to the truck itself.

I am looking at the Paragon Retractable Aluminum bed cover and would like opinions from those that own them. When you compare the price with the Mopar bed cover it seems like a no-brainer, so naturally I would like to know how well is the Paragon is made?

Funny: The site advertisement is on the very page that I write this from. :)

I installed mine about a month or so ago and love it so far. It is about 95% or better water tight and have no problems keeping anything in the bed. The locking mechanism is easy to use and is very secure, add the auto locking tailgate and everything in the back is safe. The overall quality or the cover is amazing, powdercoat is better that I expected it to be. It installs very easy, but does take a little time to make sure you have it lined up perfect if you are installing it alone. The only negative about the entire thing i did notice is when doing 70mph+ on interstate you notice a rumbling noise from cover (for lack of better terms) "doing the wave". I am actually going to install 1/2" foam insulation board with some adhesive on the underside of the cover to remedy that. Even with that though, I would not hesitate to recommend it to someone. What I also did too, when cover is retracted and i have to load anythiing inside the bed, i bought one of those ratcheting bars to secure loads in truck bed ($20 at AutoZone) and I put it right in between retracted cover and load just to make sure nothing crashes or slides into it. After all it is aluminum and it will bed regardless of quality. Hope this helps out.
