What experiences have most people had with opt-7 answering their emails and addressing issues?
I installed a set of their Hid's, and used the harness included to wire it directly to the battery, which includes a relay to switch the lights on. They work great when the truck isn't running, but with the engine running, only one headlight works, and the relay chatters like the old fashioned wind up teeth.

Late update - added the resistors and all is good. I covered up "eye" sensor with electrical tape, so lights are always on. Three weeks and zero issues. OPT-7 response was awesome, sent me a new ballast and wiring harness no charge 2day express mail. I think I'm going to convert to bi-zenon so I have both hi/lo beam hid's. Do I just need to bi-zenon relay and bulbs? I have to think the ballasts are all the same. If anyone is out there that has gone from hid low only to bi-zenon, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

From what I hear, their response time is not very fast. It may take a few days to hear back from them.

You need the resistors on the 4th gen to make them work. I had the same issues with my 3rd gen

I don't have them in my truck because I'm a little worried on how they will work with high beam DRL turning off when you use your blinkers. I did have OPT-7 in my Pontiac G6 and they were awesome only complaint I had was I had an issue with my DRL, so I made it so my head lights were on all the time by blocking the sensor

Your issue is because the canbus system only takes over when the truck is running. For opt-7 i had horrible luck trying to contact them. For your hid's look into a ram specific canbus relay harness or plug and play adapters.

I emailed them twice back in July inquiring about their interior ambient lighting kits.

I still waiting for an answer to my inquiry, but on both occasions I got an email a couple of weeks later asking if all of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. It must be auto-generated.

I responded to their last auto generated mail "You guys have got to be kidding" & told them I never heard anything back from them except the auto mail.

Lost my business.......

Hmmmmm....Opt7 was great with me. I had a Opt7 fluxbeam led bulb that was letting water (condensation) into my fog light housing. I called them and no questions asked, they sent me a new one. They said I could do whatever I wanted with the bad one. The new one has been flawless. This was over a year ago. I was actually really impressed with the customer services.

I was just emailing them yesterday and had a full conversation about their hid's for my wife's jeep in about 10 minutes. The guy was very helpful. Said if I needed the capacitors on top of the relay that comes with it he'd send them to me free of charge. Pretty much sold me on giving them a try.

Long story short..

Replaced all my lights with them... drove through some very small mud puddles. Fog housings had about an inch of muddy water in the bottoms, sloshing around. One of the low beams stopped working ("flux capacitor").. all within 2 weeks.

Returning:

Send email, wait 4-5 days for a response, send reply, wait 4-5 days for response, confirm you really want to return, wait 4-5 days for return instructions, wait 1-2weeks for money to be refunded, find out you were shorted $100, send email, wait 4-5 days for response, wait 1-2 weeks.....3 (three) months later receive full refund.

Left out the part where you have to remove fog housing and clean the mud out for hours.. numerous times of taking the headlights out and trouble shooting/aiming...

Best part was the email they sent me asking for a positive review. It really said that if I don't have a good review, not to leave one at all..

GL to you.
