Order of operations

Hey there ram forums, new to the site and excited to be able to reach out to you guys for help.

Ive gone through 4 ram trucks since ive been 16 and a few years ago i bought my first one brand new from the dealership. 2012 ram with the 5.7, and finally i want to tap into the power the truck really has, so heres where i started

I swapped my stock monster muffler with the flowmaster 40 delta and put the KN intake on it, a slow start but its better then nothing.

I also ordered JBA shorty headers for it thinking it would get rid of the ticking noise im hearing but now im thinking its coming from something diffrent.

Now for the real point of my post i would like to hear input from you guys on what upgrades i should look into next...i was thinking tuner and throttle body but theres always the worry of my transmission in the back of my mind....just hit 47k mi any suggestions would help....thanks guys

The three mod's that are usually talked about the most and usually done before others are: CAI, exhaust and a tuner. You can check with Matt at Moe's Performance, he has a wealth of information and will give you some great advice on products.

Thanks guys diablo tuner it is...ive also been all over moes website after hearing about it from a few different people, matts name comes up alot here so ill be more then happy to contact him about.

Any suggestions on parts to close the gap between my shorty headers and flowmaster muffler?

A new y pipe would finish the exhaust off nicely. Moes sells some magnaflow y pipes that a local exhaust shop can weld in.

Your talking a larger throttle body and not a spacer yes? Dont use a spacer. Its worse than any 2 hour informerical on tv

The headers with actually make the ticking sound louder, but you'll get more power from them!
