Ordered my first round of Adam's interior and glass cleaners. I got some towels and things as well. Excited to get it and use it. I got the Carpet and Upholstery cleaner, the total interior Detailer, Glass Cleaner, and Glass Sealant.

Hope to get the "Essentials Detail Kit" soon. I think my GF is as excited as me lol. :peace:

Congrats man! DEFINITELY watch the videos. There are MANY time saving tricks in there.

Before using the glass sealant, clay the glass using the glass cleaner as the lube. The results will be amazing glass.

I am debadging it first part of next week then taking it in to get a good machine detail (I don't have that confidence in myself to machine yet). I will have him give it a good wet paint look and then try to keep it up from there and build confidence. Do most places doing an exterior detail clay bar first?

"machine" Be VERY careful, for every professional that knows what they're doing, there are 20 that don't.

Most good places will clay first, but most zip through the process with a wool pad on a rotary and then pound on a ton of fillers to cover up their damage.

I trust NO ONE with my paint.

Honestly, you should be! Just do it yourself. It's really not hard. Time consuming yes, but not hard. Hell, I'm no genius and I can do it.

For moral support, check out Adams Forums It's a bunch of great people willing to help anyone in need.

Ya, I have been reading it a ton. I waxed with Turtle Wax Ice synthetic spray on, and now I have swirling, I am pissed.

Most swirling comes from incorrect washing techniques. Of course, using the wrong polishing towels and applicators can cause them too, but what most people don't know is that many OTC products like Turtle Wax and others, have fillers dumped in them to hide imperfections. Once you wash the car a couple of times or it sits in the blazing sun, those fillers disappear and BAM, you see all the damage.

You can either cover the damage or "correct" the damage. I correct it.

Will this detail kit give me what I am looking for to correct it? I didn't plan to upgrade to the Americana, as I like the ease of buttery wax while I am just beginning.

That's a great kit, but it's not meant for correcting paint. You'll need a machine for that. You have to ask yourself what your end goal is. Is it correction or is it a shiny truck.

I love Buttery, but keep in mind, it won't last but a month or two. IMO for a DD their spray sealant can't be beat. It lasts an average of 4-5 with people reporting 6-8 months. It's easy on and easy off too! It's what I use on my DD's!

I always suggest getting in on the daily specials as much as possible and buy gallons. Remember, 110% guarantee means nothing to lose! They even pay to ship it back.

Any questions, shoot!

My end goal is to have the cleanest truck on the roads (except show cars). It is a daily driver, and I do drive a lot. But I have been very inspired by seeing the pictures of peoples every day driver's and started enjoying the time spent cleaning it. So I want that real wet look, what do you think my go to products should be if they're not included in the detail kit?

If you have the time to wax regularly, the warm look of a true carnauba can't be beat IMO, but there is no need to jump to the Americana LOL
Sealants are super easy to apply & buff off, but often give a cold, plastic-like shine instead of a buttery glow.
I agree on the gallons tho- esp. on items like quick detailer and multi-purpose products.

The Americana is heads and tails better than buttery. It'll last about twice as long as well. Americana has a MUCH higher concentration of carnauba which means you have much more depth with it. The best of both worlds is sealant on the paint, brilliant glaze on sealant and Americana on top to seal the BG in. Let face melting commence!

Here, their forum, or like them on Facebook.

They also have holiday deals so watch for Labor Day.
