My truck has operated really well over the last few years, but last year I had to replace my alternator and for a few months it drove great, then it started infrequently over voltage the charging I would estimate it's sending about 16volts to the batteries then months later it started unlocking and locking the converter while at any speed over 40mph, I read some articles about ac leakage and put tin foil around the wire harness around the alternator this greatly relieved the locking and unlocking but not completely, I also replaced the diode pack, that worked for a day or so then back to over voltage and locking and unlocking, then the tin foil. it drives better. much less surging but the over voltage I would really like to get resolved.
I also had the batteries load tested , they are fine. so any suggestions?

I have read up on this and it appears due to a rebuilt alternator that did't get the rings renewed, generates RF noise and better shielding with the ground cable, to the passenger side battery

I resolved the issue by luckily replacing my rebuilt alternator only 2 years old with a new one covered by warranty only had to pay a small upgrade fee of 30 bucks, thank God for my warranty, no more over voltage issue or tq lock and unlock
