Morning everyone...first time posting. I have ran out of ideas on what to do with this one. Recently had the CPS changed now at idle the truck will charge at 17v but when put under a load via blower on high an headlights on it will charge at 13.4v, I have changed alt battery terminal ends checked line from alt to pos on fuse box side all nothing, also dont know if this will help but before the overcharge started the door ajar alarm would sound everytime the i hit the throttle, so i sprayed the doors down with pb blaster thinking the latch sensor might have been stuck, I dunno if a coincidence or maybe a short. Any tips or help would be great

Have you connected a DVOM to the B+ post on the back of your alternator while the engine is running to verify the voltage is actually that high?

Also, measure at the battery while running..
