overdrive problems

So normally I don't really post in the 3rd Gen stuff mainly cuz I have a 2nd gen. I mainly trying to help my dad out who has a 3rd Gen.

I'll cut to the chase... I've searched the forum for the problem, if the issue has been addressed in the past please let e know.

Any who, so my dad has a 2007, it is starting to kick out of overdrive going down the freeway and when that happens, it goes from 2000 rpm to about 3000, and when we get I o down first gear doesn't work. And so far the only solution to fix it is to turn it off and then back on an problem fixed temporary until the problem comes back...

Any help would be cool guys... and thanks

sounds to me like a sensor or ecu problem

So I asked him when h go it changed and serviced and stuff... literally it was a facepalm moment... told e that the truck as like 245k+ miles and only has been serviced once... though he did tell me that he has the filter and fluid, he just needs time to do it.
