Hi Guys

I have just received and tried to replace the oxygen sensors on the car.

I have a problem with upstream that is too short (BOSH 13869 ). I replaced the downstream (BOSH 15511) with no problems.

Also another question, is it really necessary to replace all 4 sensors? notice that It was 4 when I went to replace them but didnt knew it was so many.

Regards

If you only need to extend it and the sensor itself is ok then you can just solder gauge wiring and then seal it up real good to protect from the elements. Maybe add some braided sleeve as a bonus.

Are you limited to only Rock Auto?

I use them because I never had any problems with them before , so I stick with what I know.
I dont know why but the 13869 is just too short. But I replace the other one with no problems.

Were do you get your parts?

With my mods. To many to count. Really depends on what i am looking for. Ram specific or universal.

VTL,

I am a Product Specialist with Walker Products, a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of oxygen sensors. On most vehicles produced since 1996, replacing one sensor (especially the front engine monitoring sensor) will cause the ECU to set a code for the other sensors. This is because the new sensor switching activity is much faster than that of the older aged sensors. It is probable that on most vehicles, the code will be set within 30-60 days AFTER the first sensor replacement.

also I wouldn't recommend the bosch sensors, lots of problems with them. Maybe they've gotten better but I wouldn't buy the bosch 02s.
