I recently purchased a '05 quad-cab with a 5.7/auto drive train. Within 24hours she started playing games, crank no start... crank no start, crank start up.

So I pulled the code, P0335. Easy, crank position sensor. Bought & replaced it. Ran as it should until yesterday. She's a turn key truck but now she'll randomly die. She starts right back up afterwards. She has done it when crushing, stopping, sitting at a red light, taking her out of drive, and so on.

I searched Google(it turned up threads here, Hi). But, I haven't had much luck finding a solution to this girls PMS cycle.

Much thanks in advance to all who take the time to assist me.

You could try getting another one. I installed a bad new cam sensor on mine this past week. Talk about chasing rabbits. It has been stated that these truck like dealer sensors. I have put a few auto parts store sensors on my truck recently and am now looking to replace each one with dealer parts.

I have a mechanic that has told me that and RF that tells me that he is not lying.

Don't mean they won't work.

Thanks for the welcoming.

No problem that's what we do here.

I would also check grounds, clean battery terminals. Check the battery after sitting for a while and see what the static voltage is, should be 12.8vdc. And I too have not had much luck with aftermarket replacement sensors.

Just looked the battery over, positive side has corrosion. Cleaned it up, so we'll see if that eliminates the issue(can't figure out how that was over seen, I've had the hood up about 5 times this past week o_O).

If cleaning the battery doesn't correct the issue I'll pick up a Mopar sensor ASAP.

The trucks been sitting for 2 hours now, but can't seem to locate our voltmeter here at work to check it.

Google turned up another lead, so I followed it.

Its posted that a dirty throttle body can cause this issue.

Cleaning mine this evening when I wake up to see how she acts on the way to the dealership.
