There has got to be one helluva back story here that I somehow missed out on ?

Just off the cuff; Instead of beating your head against the wall with them, why not just pay $100 or something and have a local detail shop do a "clay bar" clean up and wax job on it. Should look like new and no worries.

If low on cash, get the local high school neighbor kid to do it for you, or spend an afternoon doing it yourself.

If you let the dealership touch the surface of your truck to do anything I think you will be sadly disappointed. As much as your pissed right now, it will pale to how mad you get after you see the results of a "dealer detail". Do it yourself---I know you shouldn't have to but in the long run you'll be way way better off.

You've had it a year and are just now complaining about the paint? What is wrong with the clear that has got you riled up? Over spray is over spray. Should come off with a solvent wipe, clay bar or chemical cut buffing. If that didn't take it off then it's not over spray.

I'm still at a loss as to why you waited a year to complain about the paint. You had to have known something was wrong with it prior to now.
