Painting carbon fiber hood?

Can it be done with good results? I’m looking at buying the VIS SRT style hood but only if I can color match it.

Or would it be better to go fiberglass? Just noticed that was an option.

Yes I have seen painted carbon fiber before. Back when I had a muscle car (2010 Camaro SS) and while at a car show, Hillbank Performance in SoCal had a Mustang that had a painted carbon fiber hood and fenders. They masked off hash marks on the fender into the hood to reveal the carbon fiber, and the fender had vents where they blended bare carbon fiber into the blue paint aft of the vent. Pretty sweet. The car also had a carbon fiber head liner!
