I see quite afew owners have their engine shrouds painted and everytime I see them, I want to do mine. Obviously the shroud needs to be cleaned thoroughly with like prepsol or mineral spirits etc. Any sanding required? I would probably only paint the "HEMI" but lets see some ideas and info. Is it easy to remove the shroud?

I painted the sides of mine with mopar blue engine paint and high temp clear. I didn't do any sanding, but i did wipe it down with acetone(nail polish remover), and rubbing alcohol. If you're just wanting to do the hemi, check online , some companies make decals for the letters.

I didn’t sand mine before paint but I did give it a couple light coats of adhesion promoter before paint

The shroud just snaps on. There are 2 points on either side towards the front. Just grab on either side and pull straight up to loosen it.
