12/11 took 2015 Ram Longhorn 3500 to dealer for airbag recall. maybe a week later, battery was dead. Charged it, it lasts several days and was dead again. Rinse and repeat for 2 week. Battery test with bad cell, replace it thinking it could not hold charge. Alt. tests @ 14.3. Also, when walking my dogs past truck on the passenger side only, with fob in pocket, door locks started activating for no reason. Electrician friend suggested to return to dealer to review any damage they could have done. Dealer ignored my door lock/key fob issue and scan showed bad battery sensor. $800 dollars later, i drove it for a week and voila, same issue. Take it back, free scan and they report it COULD? be my RF module and wants another $600. Took truck home. Found a "recommended scan shop" and they reported they would find the issue. $220 later, they report it is door modules and estimate &1,500 parts and labor.
Now truck is home, trying to use micro amp tests to find circuit, but not definitive. Labor for these installs is no big deal so I will do it. This shop reports B2861-15 and B2860-15 on both doors.
I plan to start at passenger door as that is the airbag they replaced and where the locks start activating on their own when I pass by. Plan to get off door panel and unplug module to determine if that is the volt draw.
Any others have a similar problem they were able to solve with these code?
