passive entry key fobs

Does anyone know if the 19-24 2500-3500 hd fobs will work on a classic? I know the DT 1500 won't work but the 2500-3500 fobs won't work on the 1500s. I see the 2500-3500 have the same antennas as the classic.

Do you insert the FOB into the ignition & then Tip Start using the FOB to Drive ?

Or do you always just leave the FOB in your pocket & use Push to Start button ?

I converted mine to passive with push to start. I only bought 1 fob to start off with now I’m looking for all the options for the 2nd
