I would think longhorn Laramie would be second and Laramie limited was top. That puts just Laramie in at third of pecking order.

thanks so i would lump any Laramie as No1 and then the Sport number 2. Good to know and thanks again:favorites13:

Not sure of the motivation for you question but heres my .02

I always look at what a truck has for options that I want, then choose based on that, not where it falls out in a pecking order. I think you'll be happier that way in the long run!

Tradesman is at the bottom as a stripped out work truck. My Express is one step above that. Following that would be SLT, Sport, Big Horn, R/T, Long Horn, Laramie, and Laramie Limited as I recall.

Go on ramtrucks.com to build&price. It's all right there.

My bad. I thought we were referring to 2500, I didnt read the OP. For me anyway, i thought why buy a 1500 when i could get a 2500? Just beefier looking to me, but to each their own of course!:)

best part about this trim, throw on a lift, black fender flares and black wheels and you got a nice truck! no extra body moulding and chrome and other nonsense.

Don't forget about HFE above Express but below SLT.
I chose Tradesman purely for price. I originally was going to but a RCSB Bighorn but then my wife informed me that what I really wanted was a Crew Cab so I dropped down to a Tradesman to get the 17" wheels that I wanted and told her that I"d be modding it to get the stuff that I wanted and didn't get at the time I purchased.
The big things I wanted were the chrome bumpers, cloth seats, and 5.0 radio.
I had the bumper fascia replaced with a painted to match piece like the SLT and then swapped out the grille inserts for some from a Big Horn. A few other mods later and I had the upper glove box, footwell lighting, rear backup camera, locking glovebox and steps. I'm happy with it for the most part but I do plan on adding the steering wheel radio controls as soon as they ship to me from AllMoparParts.

from what I understand, ST and tradesman are the same. i've seen different dealers refer to them as one or the other, but they seem to be the base model.
