Arrington forged strokers are the best bet money and quality wise.

I beg to differ. There are a bunch of better builders out there. Arrington last i heard closed up shop and i think moved. They arent the company they used to be. If i was to look for a built motor id be looking at HHP(BES builds thier motors), BFNY Performance (Billy Briggs builds them), A2Speed(Ray Barton builds them), Demon Performance(TKM builds them) those are just to name a few.

No the test was done on a 2012 ram 1500 with long tube headers, flowmaster catback, and an email tune. Total HP gained was 22, but 6 hp of that was from the catback exhaust.

Yes on a 2003 truck. He posted two different graphs and articles. This was the one on the 4th gen he keeps referring to. It may have only been a 20hp 30tq peak to peak, but you can clearly see the huge curve gain under the peak

If I could do it again I wish I would of done a 6.1 based 426. Unfortunately 5.7 blocks are about $300 and a used 6.1 block is way over $1500 now, if you can find them.

Butter up your local dealer,and see if you can buy a warrentied 6.4 truck block when they get one. The local dealers up here only get $900 Canadian for the core 6.4's when they replace one. Kurtis/Charonblk beat me to the last one our local dealer had,but they do show up occasionally,and most dealers it seems would rather sell the core,then have to package it up and send it back to Ma Mopar.The 6.4 truck block is basically the same block as the 6.2 Hellcat block with the good big gas heads.They make a great foundation for a 426 build.

Well I’ve already built my 392 and been driving it for a few months, it’s not gonna change now haha. I’ve got the old **** gen. I’m working on a 46re trans with a manual valvebody. After that’s running I’ll be working on an eagle head/intake swap to pick up some more N/A power, then on to deciding between a turbo or blower.
