Question, for cam kits for these trucks in the 5.7 would it be better to do a phaser lock cam kit or a phaser limiter cam kit?

If it's a torque you want ,do the limiter,as that still gives you a bit of cam advance and r e t a r d.You want to advance the cam for bottem end torque,r e t a r d i n g the cam moves the power band up higher in the rpm band and sacrifices bottem end torque.

If I do the limiter do I still get the bottom end plus the top end?

You'll usually lose bottem end torque even with a cam that uses a limiter, but it won't be as bad as a cam that requires a lock-out,as the limiter cam is usually a bit milder. The stock set-up gives you 38 degrees of camshaft movement, while the majority of limiter cams are roughly in the 8 degrees of camshaft movement. With a daily driver truck you don't want to give up all your bottem end torque, especially if you plan on doing any towing or loading the box with dirt etc.,even still your cam manufacture'r might also reconmend adding a higher stall torque convertor to the mix even with a limited cam.
