Has anyone added these to their non Rambox Bed? Pickup Box Utility Rails - 82211056 | Mopar

Coming from a Nissan Frontier with Nissan's awesome utilitrac system, the 4 crappy hooks at the corners of the bed have been barely adequate for me and pretty inconvenient. Has anyone purchased and installed these Mopar Utility Rails? I didn't see them listed as an accessory when i bought the truck and I tried searching for them once back when i first got the truck but i guess i was using the wrong search terms, because this morning on a whim I looked up RAM utility rails and they popped right up. I haul a lot of different things in my bed, from small welding machines & gas cylinders for work to my Polaris 850 ATV, and having the flexibility of a bed rail system again would be awesome.

I was hoping that somebody who has them could chime in on how tough the install was and how solid the rails are once they're installed.

Also I spoke to a parts guy at the local dealership who told me I couldn't use these because they are only listed for up to 2014, and the bed design changed slightly in 2015? Doesn't sound right to me, but any input about these fitting me 2015 would be appreciated. Thanks

On my '10 Dakota TRX4, those came standard, when I traded the truck in, I removed them and installed them in my current RAM, '14 QC, 6'4' bed. Very handy, install was not bad, use the rail hooks regularly. I would not count on them to hold anything real heavy though, definitely not a full size quad. The attachment points at the sidewalls are not beefy enough.
