Plasti dipping emblems?

cant find original post so im just going to start a new one.....what do you use to clean emblems before you plasti dip them?

Window cleaner will work fine. Really any cleaner is fine so long as the surface is dry when you spray the plastidip.

and just verifying after i tape off around emblems what ever get on truck around emblems will just peel off right? I mean i didnt spend all this money on a new truck to go and screw up the paint job.

Plastidip is VERY forgiving. If any extra gets on your paint, you can just peel it off. It won't hurt anything as it is just a rubber coating and not actual paint.

The front emblem actually pops off from inside the grill. 4 "tabs" hold it in place. The rear you will need to tape though.

I plasti dipped my entire grille and rear emblem. Looked great. Whatever over spray is there rubs right off.

My emblems and grille are palsti-dipped. Every easy to do and looks good.

Probably not without removing it.

Search for plasti-dip on youtube, there's tons of video's that'll show you how to plasti-dip anything you want with it.

did my sons emblems in about 20 minutes on his car, masked withing 3-4", sprayed, and wiped off excess off car

did anyone else have orange peel effect when doing this and if not how do i get it not to do it where it lays flat i cleaned before hand.....im trying on other emblem first

I didn't get as much orange peel but with plasti-dip you will get some texture as it is plastic not paint
