I am thinking about coming back to Ram. I am currently in a 2015 F250 Diesel and want to come back to gas. This is not a brand debate, I am not brand loyal, I buy what I like. That being said, I can get into a Laramie Power Wagon for a decent price and was wondering how rough of a ride the wagon is compared to the regular 2500 Laramie or Limited. I do not like the chrome, so the Limited may be the better choice. If anyone has had a 11+ F250 for comparison that would be helpful as well.. Thanks...

If you tow then I'd go with the Limited (I might be biased a bit though) since the Power Wagons are pretty GVWR crippled due to the added offroad capability. Gorgeous trucks though, sure would love one :)

My 2015 Limited is not rough at all as 3/4 tons go. Actually both my wife and I just noticed that it has gotten even more manageable now that I have a few miles on it and things have settled in. To me, there was no comparison between this truck and the F250. I like the F series trucks too, but not being brand loyal- I bought the one that felt right.

Do not tow, so do the 2500's have the rear coil springs like the 1500's do.. That would explain the nicer ride...

Yup, they have the rear coils or optional air suspension (rear only).

These coils are tank tough too. Check out some of the pics in towing and hauling with the big fivers on them.

The 1500s and the Power Wagon have linear rate coils giving them a nicer ride and better wheel travel. The regular 2500 coils are progressive rate and are much stiffer.

I recently purchased my first Ram 2500 6.4L Limited after looking at Ford, Chevy, GMC and Toyota. I too was not brand loyal and was looking for a truck that was going to fit the needs of my family and a lot of road trips. I loved the look, ride and interior of the RAM limited over the other brands. IMO it beat the GMC Denali for comfort on my test drives. I liked the look of the Power Wagon, but loved the all black leather interior of the limited with the chrome more. I found the interior of the RAM trucks to be superior to all the other brands. I also was attracted to the MAX care lifetime warranty offered on the RAM. The truck has the rear air suspension and we love the ride. Hope this helps

OK, narrowing down my choices, those of you with the limiteds and ram box, what kind of luck have you had with it. leaking, warping, etc. I know the 1500's when they came out had warping problems. I am hoping they have remedied that situation. Really like the idea of the boxes, hoping they will fit golf clubs....

I had two with Ramboxes (1500 and 2500) with none of the above mentioned issues. Although golf clubs might be a stretch. That I can't answer since I don't golf, but they fit my fishing rods (5) and my rifles with ease.

I owned a 2011 Ford F250 super duty with the 6.2 gas motor.I recently orderd a 2016 Ram 2500 laramie with the 6.4 hemi.I did not like the way my ford squatted when I hooked a trailer up to it(added air bags)the motor had pretty good pulling power.I test drove a ram with the 6.4 I really liked the motor, interior, ride and the way it sits up high more so than my ford.I am not brand loyal, since 2002 I have owned 2 dodges,2 fords and 1 chevy. The chevy being the worst of the bunch :)

THanks for the replies, think I have decided on the Limited, having a hard time finding a PW with the Ram Box.. I emailed a couple of local dealers, but are there any dealers/sales guys on here that are fairly local (Mid Atlantic) area..

I am in MD..

I'm a newb Ram guy. I've had the rest. Ordered a 6.4 2500 Reg Cab SLT 2 weeks ago. It's got a build date Feb 27.

Might as well order exactly what you want. Build it on the Ram website and take it to your dealer and figure it out. Or, shop it over the phone.

Got a couple of local dealers looking, one already found one. Just have to take current truck up to see what they can give me. Also have someone on the hook that may be interested in it....
