I have a 2012 ram 1500 BigHorn with 119k miles on it that I bought last thanksgiving (it had about 112k miles when I bought it), tonight when I turned it on to go somewhere it turned on and then sputtered and died. The truck wouldn't start for a moment after but then cranked up. I was curious if anyone had any idea what could have caused that? Or if anyone on here had suggestions of what a tune up would consist of before I go to the stealership and have them charge me for unnecessary stuff. I recently put a 4inch pro comp lift on it and when I got it back it feels like the truck has been driving sluggish a bit. It felt like it needed a tune up before the lift went on though, Any thoughts of suggestions? thanks!

Did you put larger tires on at the same time you did the lift? When was the last tune up? Have you ever changed the plugs? Have any of the fluids ever been changed?

I did not, I currently have some Toyos on it that came on the truck that have a different size thing but they measure out to 34inches. and the truck ran decent before I did the lift, but I was somewhat confused as to why it would be driving different if I didnt put bigger and wider tires on it

It may just be coincidence or you may just need that tune up. Have you thrown any codes?

it hasn't thrown any codes which is weird haha, but I figured at almost 120k miles it would be a good time to do a tune up

Get a GOOD fuel injector cleaner.

Stuff is the real deal.

Try the Amsoil stuff or Lucas fuel injector cleaner.

Tune up wouldn’t hurt either.
